I didn’t go to the elementary schools other kids went to, so I was the black sheep my first day of 5th grade. That’s how I felt when I came into the Oregon school system from the Toledo schools. Junior: Ever entered a room and felt everyone look at you? Your palms start to sweat and you quickly look for a friend, or a seat. Though I am exited to see venture where my path leads, I know that I will feel the loss of the school where I have grown and the those there along the way. Though I have toiled and inevitably failed, I have learned to savor the defeats and have reconstructed them to be stepping stones towards the future I want and who I ultimately want to be.
